Driving schools

Driving schools

A teaching fleet designed for ten morning and ten afternoon sessions per car. Start with a School Pilot or a proposed five-car Founding School: Sprint 25E Discovery for car-control tuition and Sprint 66E Performance for advanced driving development.

TARGET

100

Runs a day at full cadence

Five cars, twenty sessions each; module swaps separate driving from charging. A target, not bookings.

25,000

First-limit energy benefit

Proposed qualifying support ends at the first of 25,000 runs, £50,000 or five years.

Priority

Suitable coached demand

Founding schools are matched to distributed tuition within agreed school and host capacity, not guaranteed turnover.

School Pilot

PROPOSED

£5,000 programme contribution

  • -One or two purchased cars, or agreed access to a shared fleet
  • -Proposed 10% vehicle reduction on the stated initial cars
  • -100% qualifying energy support until the first of 12 months, 1,000 runs or £2,500
  • -Shared host node, introductory training and launch listing
  • -100 reciprocal Discovery sessions with operator involvement
  • -Upgrade adds £20,000, retaining past use and cars already purchased

Founding School

PROPOSED

£25,000 programme contribution

  • -Five-car fleet purchased or financed separately (example mix 3 × Sprint 25E + 2 × Sprint 66E, not mandatory)
  • -Proposed 25% complete-vehicle Founder rule
  • -100% qualifying energy support until the first of £50,000, 25,000 runs or five years
  • -Participating-node access, rotation stock, charging, telemetry and instructor / swap training
  • -2,000 reciprocal Discovery runs over three years, plus agreed paid distribution capacity
  • -More cars or sites need an explicit support and asset schedule

With the cars

Contribution is not fleet price.

Illustrative totals using MK price hypotheses and proposed vehicle conditions; tax basis unresolved
RouteProgrammeCarsCombined
Pilot with one Sprint 25E£5,000£27,000 (10% reduction)£32,000
Pilot with two Sprint 25E£5,000£54,000 (10% reduction)£59,000
Founder: three Sprint 25E + two Sprint 66E£25,000£135,000 (25% rule)£160,000

Sprint 25E at £30,000 and Sprint 66E at £45,000 remain price hypotheses. Another approved mix changes the car invoice, not the programme contribution. Proposed vehicle payments are 50% at released specification and production authorisation, then 50% at readiness and acceptance; no payment is available on this site.

The first-limit energy rule

At full use, runs come first.

ILLUSTRATIVE

6,000

Annual fleet run slots across thirty two-day weekends

4.17 years

Time to 25,000 qualifying runs at full use

£50,000

Benefit ceiling; the debit basis needs an agreed tariff

All three limits stay in force; the first reached ends the benefit. The figures are capacity calculations, not bookings. Later contracted distribution and direct use follow their respective energy accounts, never two accounts for one run.

Programme and vehicle totals+
ILLUSTRATIVE

At the MK price hypotheses of £30,000 for Sprint 25E and £45,000 for Sprint 66E, a Pilot with one Sprint 25E is £5,000 programme contribution plus £27,000 for the car: £32,000 combined. With two Sprint 25E, it is £5,000 plus £54,000: £59,000 combined.

The example Founding School mix of three Sprint 25E and two Sprint 66E has a £180,000 public-price hypothesis, or £135,000 under the proposed 25% vehicle rule. With the £25,000 contribution, the illustrative total is £160,000. Another mix changes the vehicle amount, not the contribution. Tax basis and final pricing need agreement.

Training, tools and expansion+

The Pilot proposes shared host-node access, introductory training and a launch listing, with purchased cars or agreed access to a shared fleet. Founding School scope proposes participating-node access, rotation stock and charging, fleet dashboard and telemetry, instructor and swap training, and support. These are proposed delivery scope, not tools already available on this site.

A five-car fleet targets 100 runs per day and 6,000 annual run slots over thirty two-day weekends. Distributed coached sessions are matched within agreed school and host capacity; reciprocal sessions consume those same real resources.

A Pilot upgrade retains recorded past use and cars already purchased. Extra cars, sites, modules, channels or exceptional works need an explicit support and asset schedule; expansion does not automatically create another energy allowance.

The programme contribution is not the price of the vehicle fleet. Vehicles are always purchased or financed separately.
Host-circuit model+

A school may operate through a compatible host circuit rather than automatically requiring its own duplicate station. Host payments and shared capacity are agreed with the host.

Shared standard access remains free where included. Intensive additional modules, charge channels, exceptional works or leasing must identify the asset and who pays. VDK may carry agreed support; separately accepted extras must not become a silent invoice for an already included benefit.

PROPOSED Working operator net rates for standard distributed coached sessions are £55 for Sprint 25E and £65 for Sprint 66E. Curriculum, duration, staff, track access and tax basis must match; the host and school accept capacity before sessions are sold.

First-limit energy rule+

Energy support ends at whichever limit is reached first. At 6,000 runs a year, a Founding School would reach the 25,000-run limit after about 4.2 years. After that, qualifying contracted distribution and reciprocal activity have their own energy account; other direct use is operator-paid.

Supervised learning, not released safety modes+

Sprint 25E teaching configurations can explore weight transfer, grip, torque calibration and progressive oversteer recovery. Reduced rear adhesion is an optional supervised lower-speed setup, not a claim of faster acceleration; tyres, pressure, torque and instructor intervention must be validated together.

Sprint 66E independent rear-control modes are development functions, not released autonomous safety capabilities. A school's session formats and usable capacity depend on measured operating limits and agreed host access.
